Independently tested with assistive technology.
The Eightfold Talent Intelligence Platform is delivered as a responsive web application. We design and test the web experience to support a wide range of browsers, devices, screen sizes, keyboard navigation, and assistive technologies, the same technologies our QA team tests with each release.
Our independent accessibility assessment for Talent Acquisition (including TA+), performed by Allyant, specifically included testing with JAWS 2025 and NVDA 2024, alongside the ongoing internal assistive technology testing described above.
Built into how enterprise customers evaluate us.
Enterprise customers rely on our accessibility program during procurement, security review, and renewal, not just at launch. Here is what we typically provide.

The Accessibility Center of Excellence
Accessibility at Eightfold is not one person’s side project. A dedicated Accessibility Center of Excellence (COE), staffed by accessibility subject-matter experts, including an IAAP-certified accessibility professional (CPACC), sets the standard, runs design and component reviews, owns our VPAT/ACR program, trains the rest of engineering and design, and governs how accessibility decisions get made across the company.
- Accessibility SMEs (subject-matter experts): Own WCAG interpretation, set internal standards, and are the escalation point for edge cases the AI agent pipeline cannot resolve on its own.
- QA & assistive tech testing (manual verification): Tests critical workflows with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation before major releases, using the toolkit below.
- Design & component review (inclusive design): Runs accessibility design reviews and component-level validation (contrast, focus states, motion, content structure) before a line of code is written.
- Program, governance & compliance (audits, VPAT & ACR): Coordinates independent accessibility assessments with Allyant, publishes and reviews VPAT/ACR documentation with customers, and governs our accessibility roadmap and reporting.
Accessibility isn't a checkpoint at the end of development. It's a shared responsibility across design, engineering, and quality assurance. By combining human expertise with AI-assisted workflows, we build products that create equal access to opportunity for everyone.
Accessibility at each stage of development
Accessibility is not a single gate at the end of a release. It is checked at each stage, from the first design mock to the moment a feature is live in production, and monitoring continues after release.

Continuous monitoring feeds straight back into design. Issues found in production become the next cycle’s design and engineering inputs, closing the loop.
Design reviews, before a line of code is written
Major features go through structured accessibility review at the design stage, not just a final QA pass.
- UX review: Flows, content structure, and interaction patterns are reviewed for clarity, predictability, and cognitive load before visual design begins.
- Design review: Mockups are checked for color contrast, focus order, touch target size, and motion before they are handed to engineering.
- Component review: New or modified components are validated against our accessible component library and design system before reuse across the product.
- Engineering review: Implementation is checked against the approved design and WCAG 2.2 AA criteria as part of code review, before it reaches automated scanning.
AI-assisted accessibility engineering
To accelerate accessibility remediation, Eightfold built a system of specialized AI agents to analyze, fix, test, and ship accessibility corrections under human review, clearing a backlog that would normally take 6 to 10 months to resolve manually in about two months. Each fix is scoped narrowly to the reported issue and shipped with automated regression tests. The agents propose and validate, and a human engineer always reviews and approves before anything reaches production.
This human-reviewed agent pipeline (analyze, implement, test, publish) resolved hundreds of accessibility issues with full automated test coverage and zero scope creep.

Human review & merge
6–10 months → ~2 months
Must pass before merge
On pull requests
This isn't about replacing engineers. It's about amplifying their impact. Engineers spend less time on routine fixes and more time on innovation, architecture, and solving complex problems.
Quality assurance
Fixing today’s issues is only half the job. Our QA and engineering processes are built to catch accessibility regressions before they reach production and to keep improving as the platform evolves.
- Automated scanning: Automated accessibility tooling (axe-core based automated scanning) runs alongside functional test suites to catch missing labels, contrast failures, and focus-order problems.
- Manual & assistive-tech testing: QA engineers manually test critical workflows with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers to validate real-world usability, not just automated pass/fail signals.
- Pre-merge review gates: Accessibility checks are part of our pull-request and CI/CD pipeline, catching new issues before they merge rather than after release.
Our testing toolkit
The specific tools our Accessibility SMEs, engineers, and QA testers use day to day.
Training and enablement
Accessibility is taught, not assumed. Training is provided to designers, developers, and teams across Eightfold, not just accessibility specialists.
- New-hire onboarding: New engineers and designers complete an accessibility fundamentals module before shipping their first change.
- Engineering workshops: Hands-on sessions on ARIA patterns, keyboard interaction models, and how our AI agent pipeline works, run by the Accessibility COE.
- Design workshops: Contrast, focus order, motion, and content design training for product designers, tied directly to our design review checklist.
- QA workshops & office hours: Recurring assistive-technology testing training, plus open office hours where teams can bring accessibility questions to the COE.
Owned, tracked, and reviewed quarterly.
Why it matters
Eightfold’s platform supports critical hiring and career decisions, so it needs to work reliably for people using screen readers, keyboard and switch navigation, voice control, and other assistive technologies, not as an afterthought, but as a baseline requirement. We hold ourselves to that standard the same way we hold ourselves to security and privacy standards: with clear ownership, measurable targets, and public accountability.
- Built in from the start: Accessibility requirements are embedded into our design system and component library from the start, not retrofitted after launch.
- Standards-based: Accessibility requirements based on WCAG 2.2 Level AA are incorporated into each product team’s definition of done and development lifecycle, alongside ADA and Section 508 expectations for enterprise and public-sector software.
- Dedicated ownership: Our Accessibility team sets standards, trains engineering and design, and reviews the platform’s assistive-technology experience on an ongoing basis.
- User-informed: We prioritize fixes based on real feedback from users with disabilities, not assumptions about what accessible should look like.
Organizational responsibility
Accessibility is not only an engineering task. It is governed as a cross-functional program. Accessibility is governed through quarterly reviews involving Engineering, Design, QA, Product Management, and Compliance. Progress is tracked using VPATs, internal audits, design reviews, and customer feedback, and reported to leadership quarterly.
- Quarterly reviews: Engineering, Design, QA, Product Management, and Compliance meet each quarter to review accessibility progress and set priorities.
- Tracked, not assumed: Progress is measured against VPATs/ACRs, internal audits, design review outcomes, and direct customer feedback, not self-reported anecdotes.
- Reported to leadership: Quarterly findings, open risks, and roadmap decisions are shared with company leadership as part of standard governance reporting.
