Eightfold and Salesforce expand agreement to bridge human potential and agentic AI

  • By 2030, 59% of workers will need reskilling, according to the World Economic Forum. Organizational leaders must master how to lead through the change of integrating AI agents with human potential to survive the largest workplace transformation of our lifetime.
  • AI agents become smarter when they understand people. Salesforce is using our AI-native Talent Intelligence Platform to supply Agentforce with the workforce insights it needs to make game-changing decisions about skills, careers, and opportunities.
  • We are one of the early Salesforce partners to plan for a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server that will be on AgentExchange, which creates a standardized language for AI agents to securely share enterprise data, turning isolated tools into an integrated workforce intelligence network.

Our workplaces are currently undergoing the most dramatic transformation in generations. As AI agents become increasingly sophisticated and capable, we face a critical question: How do we harness the power of AI to help talent professionals make strategic adjustments and build skills within our workforces?

The answer is becoming “agentic by design” — creating workforces where people and AI agents seamlessly work together, each amplifying the other’s strengths.

Today, we’re excited to share how our expanded agreement with Salesforce is making this vision a reality for organizations worldwide.

Unlock workforce transformation with Salesforce and Eightfold AI

Eightfold and Salesforce are partnering to combine strategic talent management with AI-native solutions to track skills trends and guide targeted development.

The people-AI challenge: A workforce revolution in numbers

According to the World Economic Forum’s 2025 Future of Jobs Report, 59% of the world’s workers will need to be reskilled by 2030.

That’s not just a statistic — it’s a call for immediate action.

As Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said, “Humans must remain at the heart of the AI story.” This isn’t just philosophical positioning — it’s a business imperative. Organizations that successfully integrate AI while developing talent will have a competitive advantage that’s difficult to replicate.

The challenge isn’t choosing between people or AI agents. It’s orchestrating them together in ways that unlock exponential value. This will require fundamentally rethinking how we approach talent management, skills development, and workforce planning.

Talent Intelligence meets Agentforce

Our expanded agreement with Salesforce brings together our AI-native Talent Intelligence Platform with Salesforce’s groundbreaking Agentforce ecosystem. This isn’t just another integration — it’s a blueprint for how to build workforces that are truly agentic by design.

Through this agreement, organizations will have access to talent intelligence solutions on Agentforce, an AI skills-powered Salesforce enhanced community.

Ruth Hickin, VP of Workforce Innovation at Salesforce, captures the essence of what we’re building together: “We’re in the midst of the biggest workplace transformation of our lifetime, and putting humans at the center of the digital labor revolution is the only way to drive real impact and innovation.”

Salesforce + Eightfold: Better together

Last year, Salesforce launched Career Connect, a new internal platform to help employees gain new experiences and upskill, encourage internal mobility, and retain top talent.

With AI-native capabilities from our Talent Management solution, Salesforce talent professionals can track skills trends across the organization, allowing them to invest in more targeted development opportunities and adjust toward a hybrid workforce of people and agents.

“Salesforce leads by example and is showing the business community how humans and agents will work together successfully in the AI era,” said Ashutosh Garg, Eightfold CEO and Co-founder. “Just as we expect exponential gains with AI agents, we should also expect exponential improvements in how we leverage the human workforce.”

Bringing career intelligence into the flow of work

One of the most exciting developments in our collaboration is the newly released Career Agent in AgentExchange, expected to launch in October. Career Agent will be a fundamental shift in how employees develop their careers.

Career Agent will empower employees to further their careers by surfacing potential paths, suggesting mentors, identifying open positions, and providing insights that were previously buried in HR systems. By integrating these capabilities into the flow of work accessible across the Salesforce suite, we’re making career development as natural as checking email.

This represents a move from reactive to proactive career management, where AI agents work alongside people to identify opportunities and paths that might otherwise be hidden or overlooked.

New infrastructure for AI communication

Behind the scenes, our implementation of MCP is solving a critical challenge in enterprise AI: how to enable secure, standardized communication among AI agents and systems.

Think of MCP as creating a common language that allows AI agents to securely access and act on relevant enterprise data. This standardized infrastructure is essential for organizations building complex agentic workflows where multiple AI systems need to seamlessly work together.

In talent management, AI agents can pull insights from multiple systems — performance data, skills assessments, career histories, and market trends — to provide more comprehensive and actionable recommendations.

Work is now agentic by design

What we’re building with Salesforce goes beyond traditional HR tech. Together, we’re creating a foundation for workforces that is agentic by design, where every decision, career path, and skill development opportunity is informed by AI and centered on human potential.

This approach recognizes that the future of work isn’t about AI replacing people or employees, or working alongside AI in isolation. It’s about creating integrated systems where human creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking combine with AI’s analytical power and scalability to achieve outcomes that neither could accomplish alone.

By embracing this approach and investing in the capabilities that our Talent Intelligence provides, organizations are more likely to thrive with workforces that can quickly adapt to change. Additionally, employees will feel more empowered in building and navigating their careers, and organizations will have the agility needed to capitalize on new opportunities.

Build your agentic workforce

This workforce transformation is already underway. The question isn’t whether your organization will need to adapt to an AI-driven future — it’s whether you’ll be ready to lead in it.

Through our Salesforce relationship, we’re providing the tools, insights, and infrastructure needed to build workforces that put people at the heart of the AI story. Ultimately, the most successful organizations will be the ones that harness the power of both human potential and AI.
