Melissa’s story highlights how passion for people and innovation can create lasting impact, helping employees realize new opportunities and organizations unlock their full potential.

I think something I’ve been proud of my entire career is the ability to see potential, whether it’s potential in a broken process, whether it’s potential in a team or potential in people. And I’m a big believer that when you can bring out the best in your people, in your organization, then really you can unlock and achieve the impossible.

I’m Melissa Kaiser.

I’ve been doing HR for over 25 years. I have been in all different aspects of HR.

Many of the roles that I filled were roles that had not been invented yet. So I kind of tend to be on the cusp of how work is evolving, and roles that are willing to pioneer, take some risk, and help transform the organization.

What I was really inspired about was being able to pioneer in this space around skills. I knew that many companies were starting to think about a skills-based approach to their talent agenda, but no one seemed to have all of it figured out.

And so I love tackling big challenges. I love working with other smart people and building those relationships to solve those problems. And then I also am very passionate about the employee experience.

And so being able to provide more trust, transparency and democratization of careers has been a really impactful role to take on. And it’s been a gift to see what people are realizing because of what we’ve been able to do in the organization.
