2022 Talent Survey

There’s never been a more urgent need for a comprehensive approach to managing the talent lifecycle.

In 2021, the average time to fill a job more than doubled, jumping from 20 days to 50. This year, there’s less than one available worker for every job opening (0.76 workers per role), the lowest in history.

To understand the needs of a post-pandemic workforce, Eightfold AI surveyed over 250 HR leaders and nearly 1,000 employees.

Here’s what we found:

  • Current HR processes are misaligned with the needs of recruiters and talent leaders—but there are clear ways to overcome these challenges.
  • People are looking for new jobs, but often don’t apply even if they’re great candidates. Discover the hidden reasons why.
  • Not all employees are given equal opportunities for advancement, leading to inconsistency in the employee experience and higher quit rates.
  • The need to attract, retain, and support top talent needs to be a workforce strategy supported from the C-suite down.
